We had another busy week in grade 3/4. This week was our Remembrance Day assembly. Students all over the school worked really hard to put together amazing performances that honoured those who fought and still fight for our country. I would like to thank the students in our class for showing respect during the assembly. We spoke about the significance of the day as well as the importance of remaining silent during the performances, and each and every one of the 3/4s did just that. A huge pat on the back for that!
In Visual Art, a few of us are just putting the finishing touches on our peace dove watercolour paintings. They are beautiful! I have now had a chance to hang the ones that are finished, so please stop by to take a look at their hard work. We have already received tons of compliments on them. They will be on display until the end of the month, so you can also sneak a peak at conferences if you can't make it in until then!
Friday we also enjoyed an afternoon of weird science. The kiddos were amazing and had such a great time experimenting at all of the different stations. All three of the grade 3/4 teachers were impressed by the level of engagement and participation from everyone. Miss Olson was busy snapping pictures, so I will add them to this post once she sends them to me. A special shout out to all of the parents who donated their time and supplies. Without your generosity, we would not be able to put on these types of activities for the kids!
Last, we are still looking for volunteers to come swimming with the grade 3s at the end of this month. We need at least two (one male, one female) volunteers to accompany us for a couple of hours to supervise in the change rooms. Please send a note in your child's agenda if this is you!
Thank you again for all that you do!
Upcoming Important Dates:
November 13 - Fire Safety Presentation
November 14 - Book Orders Due
November 17 - School Clothing Orders Due
November 19 - Agribition Field Trip Permission & Money Due
November 21 - Report Cards
